Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the website design, hosting, and maintenance services ("Services") provided by FAR Web Solutions ("FAR Web Solutions," "we," "us") to the business purchasing those Services ("Client," "you"). By purchasing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Services

FAR Web Solutions provides two components, sold together:

• Setup — a one-time fee to design and build a website for your business, based on a starting layout for your trade and customized with your branding, service area, business information, and reviews.
• Hosting & Management — a recurring monthly fee covering hosting, SSL, uptime monitoring, and reasonable ongoing content updates (such as hours, pricing, or promotions) for as long as the subscription is active.

Current pricing is listed at farwebsolutions.com/#pricing and is incorporated into these Terms by reference. FAR Web Solutions may change pricing for new customers at any time; changes will not retroactively apply to an active subscription without notice.

2. Payment

The setup fee is due before work on your website begins. The monthly fee is billed automatically through our payment processor (Stripe) starting after any free trial period stated at checkout, and continues until the subscription is cancelled. You are responsible for keeping your payment method up to date; a failed payment may result in suspension of hosting under Section 4.

3. Term & Cancellation

There is no long-term contract. The monthly plan may be cancelled at any time, effective at the end of the then-current billing period, by contacting [email protected]. The one-time setup fee is non-refundable once work has begun, except as required by law.

4. What Happens When You Cancel

Hosting is part of the monthly plan. When the subscription ends — whether by cancellation or a failed payment that isn't resolved — FAR Web Solutions will stop hosting the website and it will go offline. This is true even if the site has been live for years; there is no obligation to keep an unpaid site hosted.

If you'd like to keep the site running elsewhere after cancelling, contact us before the cancellation takes effect to arrange a handoff of the site files and, where applicable, the domain. A handoff is not automatic and may be subject to a separate fee and reasonable timeline, to be agreed on a case-by-case basis.

5. Domain Names

If FAR Web Solutions registers a domain on your behalf, it is registered through FAR Web Solutions' registrar account and held/managed by FAR Web Solutions for the duration of the Services, at no markup over the registrar's cost. If you already own your domain, you retain ownership and FAR Web Solutions only configures DNS records needed to point it at your site.

A domain FAR Web Solutions registered on your behalf can be transferred to an account you control upon request, including as part of a handoff under Section 4. Standard registrar transfer rules and timelines apply.

6. Content & Ownership

You retain ownership of your business's own materials — your logo, photos, written descriptions, and reviews — that you provide or that we pull from your public business listings on your behalf.

FAR Web Solutions retains ownership of the underlying site framework, template, and code used to build your site. While your subscription is active, you have the right to use the finished, customized site as your business's website. Rights to the finished site beyond that use (for example, taking a full copy of the code to self-host) can be discussed as part of a handoff under Section 4.

7. Your Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate business information and respond to requests needed to build or update your site;
• Only submit content (text, images, logos) that you have the right to use;
• Review and approve the design before launch — you're responsible for verifying your business details are correct once the site is live.

8. No Guaranteed Results

FAR Web Solutions builds and hosts your website. We do not guarantee any specific amount of traffic, leads, calls, search ranking, or revenue as a result of having a website.

9. Service Availability

We monitor uptime and work to keep your site available, but hosting is provided on an "as available" basis without a guaranteed uptime percentage unless a separate service-level agreement has been signed. Scheduled maintenance or issues with upstream providers (such as our hosting or DNS infrastructure) may occasionally cause brief downtime.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, FAR Web Solutions' total liability for any claim arising from the Services is limited to the amount you paid FAR Web Solutions in the 12 months before the claim arose. FAR Web Solutions is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost business, arising from your use of the Services.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify FAR Web Solutions against claims arising from content you provided that infringes someone else's rights or violates the law.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes materially affect an active subscription, we'll make reasonable efforts to notify you (such as by email) before they take effect.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
